Remains of the Italian Occupation of Libya during the first half of the twentieth century, barbed wire
strung by the Italian forces to stop Libyan Resistance fighters (under the leadership of Omar Mukhtar)
from movement along the Libyan-Egyptian Border. Pictures taken at Jaghbub (Giagbub Jagbub) in 2009.
It is  a constant reminder of our grandparents who died while attempting to cross the border,
and those that died in the concentration camps at Al Agheila, Marsa Brega, Kufra, Qurdabiya
and the Jebel Akhdar to name just a few locations.
